Hi Patrick,

We had this problem too on a job bringing RF3 particles into XSI 5, XSI just dies over a certain particle number which

I think it was in the range you are talking about.  Do you have access to a 64bit version of XSI 6.02 with 4-8 gigs of Ram?
only a guess, but this might solve the problem.

I hate to tell you the solution was bringing the particles into Maya and exporting our camera from XSI
into Maya to finish the shot, but that was the work around for us at the time.

I haven't used realflow (v3) too much, but I seem to be hitting a limit on the number of particles xsi likes to import. It seems anything over about 57,000 crashes xsi(v6.02).

I can sim plenty more, but it's the import that keels over.

It doesn't seem to be a memory hog...

Anyone with more experience of this?

Cheers,

Patrick
