Right, you have to choose to install it. You can use Control Panel
change/remove to go back and add the 64bit options.

It's not express but it may be I've not installed the 64 bit stuff. I'll dig
around.
One other thing; I'm trying to get some organisation into my code library,
putting all the plugins under a solution as individual projects. There's a
lot of redundancy in project configurations. Is there a way to set up
solution level configurations, ones that drip down to project level, or is
labour-saving still not the Microsoft way? (hey, outlook's spell checker
capitalises Microsoft. Bet it doesn't cap Apple. ;))

More important is Express or not. With Express you have to separately
download the 64 bit compiler. With the non-free versions the 64 bit
option should already be there. I know Bernard recently summarized how
to do it with the 2003 PSDK. The new 64 bit compiler for 2008 has
recently become available for download with the Windows SDK. There's a
nice summary of how to use it with Express here:

Cross compiling works fine. Which Visual Studio are you using?

I'm for a bit of help compiling 64 bit plugins. I have 64 bit
configurations but no 64 bit platform, only 32 bit. I could create
a
new PocketPC platform but that's it. And I've tried this on both 64
bit and 32 bit workstations. Anyone know what I'm missing?
I'm making a broad assumption that I'll also be able to cross
compile,
64 bit on a 32 bit workstation as a matter of preference. Assuming
correct libraries in place of course.
Any help appreciated.
