Thanks guys for your replies!
Suddenly life became much sunnier, could be I was expecting the worse.
But what about render results. In max with vray we had problems with flickering.  As an accident  we installed one 64bit amd machine to our farm and rendering results were flickering. Problem was caused by the platform differencies, that 64bit calculations are done differently which are also visible in results.

Thanks for sharing Francesco. Serves me right for passing on info I'd

Hello,

I have used .map files very frequently in mixed 32/64 bit enviroment, and
with no problems at all, I did created .map files on 32bit workstation, and
rendered on 64bit farm.
With 32/64 bit shaders there is also no problem, to me its not important on
what platform 32/64 scene was created if you have your mixed worgruoup with
all shaders properly set (or using only factory ones).
Only problem I experienced was with particle caches, particles even cached
ones rendered differently on 32 and 64 bit.

Best Regards, Francesco
