Indeed this is bad. Given it only occurs in some areas like that it
might be related to floating point
precision seeing I probably get some really small values. It's
definitely something in the source code
that's very broken.

I've not looked at the code in years - what it really needs is a
complete rewrite :O Sorry I can't think
of any easy solutions off the top of my head.
