640x480 / less than 100 images on a 2GB 64bit system. That makes up
something like 120MB uncompressed. This is certainly not the problem.
Thanks for the suggestion anyways.

Fb handles uncompressed data, so depending on the size and quantity of images it will get choppy.
What is the res of the images and how long are the sequences?
I often use "shrink on load" and then boost the images 2x bigger to avoid this... especially good for long sequences.

Subject: Flipbook performance
Heya,
anyone else having problems with the Flipbook's performance? We can't
make it to playback a single image sequence on a constant 25fps
framerate. Somtimes the playback is really choppy, sometimes we only
notice the framerate to quickly blink once in a while when closely
looking at the actual framerate display (the number in brackets). The
sequences are short, less than PAL res, fitting perfectly well into
memory, V-Sync settings don't have any effect, and trying something like
30fps playback speed to better match the LCD's 60fps framerate (silly
idea I came up with this morning...) doesn't have any effect as well.
Basically I'm running out of ideas...
Anyone? Cheers!
