Subject : FG map per frame

Hello,

I have a heavy scene (animated cam) that I’m using FG to render (xsi6.01).

I’m thinking of using a simpler proxy scene to calculate the FG and then just access the same files for final render.

There’s the option of creating an .fgmap per frame so that you can render it on a farm and not have to recalculate every time.

I can’t seem to get that to work.

The map file has [name].[pass].fgmap setup.

The only time the fgmap gets a new frame number in the name is when I physically change the frame number in the application. Otherwise, it’s always accessing the same .fgmap.

Is this a bug or did I forget to ‘check’ something?

Is V6.5 the answer? I don’t want to change versions during the project but if that’s the trick…?

Any clue is greatly appreciated.

Thanks and have a gooday.
