the “browser favorites” isn’t
the web browser, but the favorite button in the XSI file browser. It doesn’t
contain links pages, and it isn’t stored in the xsi project file.
Sorry if I missed this -- Did you try
renaming your use account completely to remove all your user prefs in one shot?

I see, favorites as in, favorites! Well I don't have
any browser favorites that are anything other than web pages.
The problem is when I do a Save-as or Load, or anything that requires loading
or saving assets where a browser needs to pop up.
I don't appear to have a
\Softimage\XSI_6.5\Data\default.xsiprojects file.
