This might sound somewhat muffled because I'm talking out of my arse, but have you tried forcing a refresh using the clips' EvaluateAt method at the current frame? It should do the trick.

I've made an event that changes the path of an image source on each frame of a render.  I'm having trouble getting the image to refresh (reload) after the change.  It refreshed fine in the UI if I keep a ppg open that displays the image. 

Does anyone know of a trick to force an image to be reloaded prior to a render.
