Hi Alan,

I am really happy someone is looking at creating more tools for FX Tree - I used Illusion back when it was alive so I use FX Tree a lot in my daily
work.

These are the things I would like to see in FX Tree:

- DOF node that reads floating point rgb depthpasses and includes bokeh mapping capabilities - a bit like Frischlufts Lenscare. And if it would be
possible to take focus info from a nulls position in the 3D scene it would be truly great.
- Good glare and glint nodes - like being able to set clipping ranges and apply glints on all highlights that are powerful enough. Mappable glint/glare shapes. Noise parameters for each component and spectral color control would be nice too.
- Better lensflares with better component control and trackable features, making it possible to output a highlightpass which can be tracked and lensflare be applied to it. Noise parameters for each component and spectral color control would be nice too.
- Rotosplines with local softness range along the spline, plus motionblur rendering of the matte - somewhat like in Flame.

Regarding your questions about packaging and pricing, I would prefer to buy indivual plugins and perhaps have the option of bundling some and get a discount for every five or so. I paid $199 for Lenscare and $190 for RSMB, both of which I find quite reasonable.

A choice between site license and license per machine floating would be preferable, as I think the size of the company determines which scheme is better.

Hi All,

I'm looking to gauge people's interest in a commercial set of FXTree nodes.

I'd imagine it including in the ballpark of 20 nodes. If people could
mail we with
a few details of their opinion on the matter.

Things I'm specifically interested in are:
* how many nodes you would expect to be in a package
* pricing/packaging expectation - i.e. would you prefer a site
license/per machine/other setup and at what price point
* list of nodes you'd like to see in such a package.

If you could send a mail to me with any thoughts on these things it'd be great.
Or discuss on the list if you like.

Cheers,

Alan.
