So the pywin32-211.win-amd64-py2.6.exe file from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=78018 doesn't work?

... confused because neither yours or the linked one work for me.

yep, its all up and running without a hitch.
i havent tested it extensively, but a few of my scripts ran fine.

Actually we patched the pywin32's genpy.py file to make the strings available until the pywin32 team fixes the issue. You'll have to overwrite the original with our copy when you're done installing pywin32.

oh, glorious, thank you.
ive been looking forward to this.

when you say xsi's string constants are not available, we can still type in the number and have their functionality work?
all we are missing is being able to refer to them by name?

Hello,
As pywin32 for 64 bit is not yet available from sourceforge and activestate yet, I've built a pywin32 package that works with Python
2.6 on Vista and XP 64 platforms. The package can be
downloaded from
our Softimage|NET web:
 http://community.softimage.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=83
<http://community.softimage.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=83>
The only issue I found so far is related to XSI constant
strings which
are not available to scripting (this should be fixed in an upcoming fix from the pywin32 team)
Let me know how it works for you.
 thanks
